Who we are

CairnFertility ("we", "us") publishes these pages to help anyone considering fertility treatment in Australia, whatever their family looks like, understand what it costs and how it works. CairnFertility is published by Alice Smith, trading as CairnFertility, based in the United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@cairnfertility.com.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use it.

What the service is, and is not

The site is a free information service, with no accounts and no purchases. It is not:

• medical advice. We are not a health service or a registered health practitioner. Our medical disclaimer is part of these terms;
• financial, insurance or legal advice;
• a decision about what Medicare, a state program or your insurer will pay. Only they can tell you that;
• a clinic, agent or referral service. You can't book treatment through us.

How we show clinics and prices

• No clinic, insurer or other business pays us, to be listed or for anything else, and we take no commission or referral fee.
• Clinics are listed A to Z, or by distance when you search near you. We never rank clinics by success rate or price, and never put one ahead of another for any reason.
• We do not list every clinic or every price in Australia. A clinic appears in the cost plan only where it publishes a fee we could read, and each fee links to the clinic's own price list with the date we read it.
• Fees and estimates are each clinic's own published figures. Clinics change prices, so the clinic's written quote is the figure that applies to you.

Using the site acceptably

You agree not to:

• use the site unlawfully, or in a way that could harm it or other people, including trying to breach its security, scraping it at scale or interfering with how it runs;
• reproduce our content commercially without permission (personal use, such as printing a cost plan to take to your clinic, is fine);
• present our content as medical, financial or legal advice, or as endorsed by us, a clinic or a government body.

Our content

The text, design and graphics of this site, and the way we compile and present information, belong to CairnFertility or its licensors. Laws, Medicare figures and other public information stay public: our rights are in how we explain and arrange them, not in the facts.

We link to legislation, government sites, clinics and other sources. Those sites have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content. A link is a signpost, not an endorsement.

Accuracy

We check our information against its sources and show when each figure was checked, but laws, Medicare figures and clinic prices change and we can make mistakes. If you find one, tell us at hello@cairnfertility.com and we will correct it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or changed.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the site instead of professional advice, from decisions about treatment, money or insurance, or from what any clinic, insurer or other business does.

Governing law and changes

Nothing in these terms takes away protections that Australian law says cannot be waived.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we update these terms, the new version takes effect when posted here with a new date.
